Olena Pedan joined Moscow Ballet as Soloist and Audition Director for the 2017 25th Anniversary Tour of Swan Lake and the Great Russian Nutcracker across North America. Olena was born in Dnipropetrovsk, on the historic Dnieper River. At 9 years old she was accepted at ballet school, studying there until her teens, when she was invited to join the Dnipropetrovsk College of Theater. In 2006 she became a professional ballerina at the Dnipropetrovsk Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet performing classical, jazz, Latin-American and modern dance performances. Simultaneously, Olena continued her studies attending the International Slavonic University and Dnipropetrovsk National University where she received a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Media Communications. After graduating from Ballet School, Olena entered Dnepropetrovsk Theater and Art College and studied 4 years. She danced all the repertoire at the theater and began dancing solo from the ballets "The Little Humpbacked Horse", The Brides from Swan Lake, the Russian variation in The Nutcracker, a pas de deux variation in Don Quixote, Vilisa in Giselle and more. She has toured to Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, China and more.”
Olena also has a musical education playing piano and speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian. She is a fashion model and takes Master Classes and workshops to continually expand her knowledge base.
Olena also has experience teaching student dancers at the ballet school at Dnipropetrovsk Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. Olena always strives forpersonal self-development, career growth, and to learn new methods in her field of expertise.
