The Gift of Christmas Tour Comes to El Paso Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7

Moscow Ballet brings the Gift of Christmas Tour to El Paso with Great Russian Nutcracker performances bringing holiday magic to life and creating unforgettable memories for all ages. The company performs at Plaza Theatre on Fri., Dec. 6, 7 p.m. and Sat., Dec. 7, 1 p.m. matinee and 5 p.m. 

Moscow Ballet makes Christmas gift giving easy with the holiday performance that delights all ages…from the life-sized Kissy Doll to the fierce, red-eyed Rat King; and the Russian Troika Sleigh bringing Masha through the Snow Forest to the Land of Peace and Harmony which is populated with 10 foot tall dancing puppets, exotic flying birds and dancing couples from the world’s five great heritages. 

About El Paso's Host Studios

British Ballet Academy has proudly been instructing El Paso dance students for over 40 years. They currently mentor over 350 families from El Paso, Fort Bliss and the surrounding area. The studio offers classes in jazz, tap, and ballet for all skill levels and ages. Director and Choreographer for Ballet, Kirsty O-Connell, has been a faculty member of British Ballet Academy for 30 years. She is an associate member of the National Dance Association and International Tap Association, as well as a former winner of the Senior Texas Division Winner Jazz Competition.

For the Love of Dance is passionate about the art of dance. Although specialized in classical ballet, they also offer classes to other forms of expressions. The school strives to provide a place of growth and learning and instill students with self-discipline, commitment, and confidence. Curriculum combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development and consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to the dance students of all ages and skill levels. 

About The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center

The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center opened in 1930 as both a modern film house and a stage production venue. Commonly referred to as "The Showplace of the Southwest," the Plaza was once the largest theater between Dallas and Los Angeles. It boasts elaborate architecture and decor, and has hosted concerts, stage shows, and movies. The Plaza will soon feature such acts as the Blue Man Group, B.B. King, and the Broadway production of West Side Story.
