Batur Buklu joins NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet in the Principal role. An accomplished ballet artist from Istanbul, Turkey, Buklu brings an international perspective to the production.

Batur Buklu began his training at the Istanbul State Conservatory and was selected for the prestigious John Cranko Ballet School in Stuttgart, to complete his training.

Batur Buklu has graced stages across the world, with a major residency in Hof Gemry and then coming home as a Principal Artist with the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.

Batur Buklu is an internationally recognized award-winning artist, having achieved the Gold Medal at the International Ballet Competition Istanbul. Having been influenced by the luminaries Mikhail Baryshnikov, Rudolf Nureyev, Mathias Heymann, and Bernando Bujones, Batur Buklu has performed Principal Roles in the classical canon: Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Carmen, Corsaire, Giselle and Swan Lake.
