Alisa Alekseeva premieres as Masha on the 2019 Great Russian Nutcracker Gift of Christmas tour. This young superstar ballerina is a Finalist of the XV (15th) Open Russian Ballet Competition "Arabesque 2018” named after Catherine Maximova, and a Laureate of the International Ballet Competition “Grand Prix of Siberia” in November 2018. In 2016 she graduated from the Bashkir Choreographic College named after R. Nureyev in the class L. Shapkina and was immediately accepted into the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, working with teacher and tutor Elena Fomina. Alisa is also attending the prestigious Bashkir State University in the city of Ufa, working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.
Her repertoire includes Masha and the Chinese Doll in The Nutcracker, Lisa in Vain Precaution choregraphed by Yuri Grigorovich; Becky Thatcher in Tom Sawyer choreographed by R. Abushahmanova; Nastya the youngest daughter of the merchant in The Scarlet Flower, choreographed by Petrova, Princess Florina, and the Fairy of Carelessness from The Sleeping Beauty choreographed by Marius Petipa; and Cupid from Don Quixote edited by Yuri Grigorovich. She speaks Russian, Chuvash and English and has performed in many countries including Germany, Italy, Thailand and France. Alisa loves reading books, traveling, and gaining new knowledge.
