Alexey Gerasimov is a prize-winning danseur and a guest soloist at many ballet companies in Moscow including Imperial Russian Ballet, Moscow Ballet and The Crown of Russian Ballet. In 2010, he won first place in the Hellas International Ballet Competition and second place in the Sibiu International Ballet Competition. In 2007, he took home the third-place prize at the Rieti International Ballet Competition in Italy. Alexey has a diploma from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and, in 2010, earned a Ballet Master Diploma from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts. In addition to his personal accomplishments, Alexey coaches and teaches male dancers. He attended the observation program at L’école de danse de l'Opéra national de Paris and Dance Teacher Observation program at Royal Ballet School in 2016. He put his knowledge to use teaching repertory classes at Elite Ballet Summer Intensive in Mexico in 2018 and coaching male ballet dancers with Crown of Russian Ballet’s 2014 Mexican tour. He was the ballet master for the USA-Canada tours of The State Ballet Theatre of Russia in 2017 and 2018.
His extensive repertoire includes Prince in The Nutcracker, Desire and Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Jester in Swan Lake, Peasant Pas de Deux in Giselle, among many others. In addition to touring the United States and Canada with Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker, Alexey has performed all over the world, including: Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Ireland, Japan, China, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, New Zealand, Slovenia, Serbia, Estonia, Croatia, Brazil, North Korea, Guatemala, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Israel, Mexico, Malta, Lebanon, and Kenya.
