Akzhol Mussakhanov, a native of Almaty the largest cultural center in Kazakhstan, is Moscow Ballet Principal Danseur performing Nutcracker Prince in the Great Russian Nutcracker and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet on the East tour. He is laureate of the IX International Ballet Competition in Moscow (2001); Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition in Kiev (2004), and Festival of Independence of Kazakhstan, Kzakhstan (2006). He is a 2001 graduate of Jalil State Choreographic School of Kazan which was founded in 1943 as part of the evacuation of many cultural organizations to far eastern Russia during World War II. Graduates of the renowned school are counted among the winners of world competitions, famous choreographers, teachers and ballet dancers. Kazan is the capital of Kazakhstan and 8th largest city of greater Russia. It lies at the confluence of the Volga and Kazanka Rivers, and is famous for its multi-ethnic residents living side-by-side in peace.
Upon graduation Akzhol was invited to become soloist at the renowned Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tatarstan, and established in 1791. Akzhol has danced for the State Opera and Ballet Theatre in beautiful Odessa, Ukraine and as principal at Swansea Ballet Russe in Wales, UK. Akzhol is known for his strength and mastery of leading roles includingNutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and more. He has toured the US, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Canada, France, Holland, Greece, Norway and Denmark.
