Boulder Body Wear (303-447-9100 / 2660 Canyon Blvd, Suite A-1, Boulder, CO 80302) is woman-owned and independently operated. The store has been an integral part of the Boulder community since 1987 and was first located in a hole-in-the-wall spot on Boulder’s University Hill, and marketed exclusively to dancers. It has since moved to a larger location within Boulder’s Marriott shopping center, and the focus has evolved into three distinct markets: dancewear, lifestyle/activewear and fashion. These three lines are carefully selected to meet the needs of loyal customers, who range in ages, interests and fitness levels, but who want to shop locally, while feeling and looking great. Boulder Body Wear has tutus for children to wear to dance class, yoga pants for moms, and the latest styles in jeans, stylish tops, and funky jewelry as well.
Capezio – 125 years ago Salvatore Capezio opened a shop on Broadway and created his hand-made pointe shoes. Today, Capezio continues to revolutionize the dance world with dancewear and footwear innovations for every dancer, from beginner to professional. Capezio is a staple in dance schools, and is frequently worn in TV shows, movies, Broadway shows, and touring performances. A cavalcade of luminaries has worn Capezio, from Anna Pavlova and Fred Astaire to Mick Jagger and Lady Gaga. Hundreds of stores carry Capezio products, and Capezio operates retail stores carrying full line of brands in New York City and major cities nationwide. www.capezio.com.
