Rising Starz Dance Studio owner Kathy Richards’s philosophy guiding the studio is that every student who passes through the studio doors and takes a class is special, no matter if they took one course or spent countless hours training. They learned something about themselves, took away a skill, made a friend, created a memory, set a goal or dared to dream. Former students of Ms. Richards now fill company positions in such internationally known and respected companies as the San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Boston Ballet. Her eye for understanding human movement and ability to communicate that to students of all ages has made her a nationally respected teacher, choreographer and judge. Rising Starz boasts one of the top teaching faculties in the Southeast.
