Announcing Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker Returning to Kearney at Merryman Performing Arts Center on November 21 ~ Tickets On Sale Now

The one and only Moscow Ballet Great Russian Nutcracker will return to Kearney on Tuesday, November 21, 7:00 pm at Merryman Performing Arts Center. Tickets are on sale now. 

All ages are invited to celebrate Christmas with the Moscow Ballet company of almost 40 ballerinas and danseurs on their 25th Anniversary Tour of North America in 2017. Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker is known for its award-winning Principal Dancers, lavish costumes in the style of the Victorian era, many backdrops created by “La La Land’ Set Concept designer Carl Sprague, and its Russian focus including life-sized Matryoshka Dolls, Russian folk legends Ded Moroz (Father Christmas) and Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) and Troika Sleigh. Adults and children enjoy the special effects of the flapping winged owl on the Grandfather clock, the growing 50 ft tall Christmas Tree, the Dove of Peace with a 20ft wingspan, and of course, the leaps, spins, and extraordinary moves of the company all performed to Tchaikovsky’s complete and incomparable score.

T’Dance School Of Performing Arts offers a high quality of dance education in a family atmosphere. The studio provides an environment that is supportive, encouraging and conducive to learning. The instructors are dedicated to the art of dance and attend annual training workshops and seminars to be able to bring the finest in instruction to their students. The studio believes in training the individual personality of each dance student and realizes that each student has chosen to be involved in dance for different reasons or goals. All  students are encouraged to have an enriching experience, and to learn discipline, dedication and responsibility as it relates to their dance education. T’Dance holds a large lobby area for families to pick up and watch their T’Dancers and 3 changing rooms! The T’Dance staff consists of ten passionate instructors and 10 eager dance assistants all with same the goal....to provide every child with a quality dance education in a safe and encouraging environment!

The Merryman stage is a venue for more than 130 events each year. More than 62,000 people enter the beautiful Ron & Carol Cope Foyer to enjoy a Merryman season show, school music program, Kearney area concert, travelogue film, dance recital, choral program, wedding or church service in the Morris Family Theatre.

The Robert M. Merryman Performing Arts Center is unique. It is the only community performing arts center to be located in an active elementary school. The original building was built in 1926 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Ron and Carol Cope Grand Lobby, the Reception Hall and the Scott D.
