She goes to France, Italy, Africa -- all around the world, and she finds peace and harmony through love.” In Act II Masha and her Nutcracker Prince arrive in the “Land of Peace and Harmony” (traditionally called the Land of Sweets) and celebrate the great heritages of the world including African, Asian, European, Hispanic and Slavic

About the Avalon Theatre

The Avalon Theatre shows independent and foreign films and first-run movies. Live productions include concerts, theatrical performances and dance recitals. Renovations were made to the theater to restore its original 1923 condition. It is located in downtown Grand Junction, a charming area popular with tourists, making it convenient to restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, coffee shops and clubs. The Avalon Theatre Foundation's mission is "to preserve, promote, and enhance the Avalon Theatre for community benefit". The Avalon Theatre Foundation, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1991 by Pat Gormley. It successfully undertook a fundraising effort that provided for the restoration of the theater's original 1923 façade. The Foundation continues to center its mission on historic preservation, generational heritage, and the continued commercial operations of The Avalon Theatre.
