Announcing Moscow Ballet's 2nd Summer Intensive for students, professionals and dance teachers too July 6,7,8 and 11-14 Moscow Ballet and The Academy of Dance by Lori host ACOYA Dance Project Master Class Series 2011 at 1675 Washington Road, Pittsburgh PA. The Academy of Dance by Lori is pleased to offer dance students personal training by Russian and Cuban Ballet Professionals along with regional contemporary dance artists who are making new waves in the Pittsburgh dance scene.
The Intensive and Dance Project includes 20 hours of training over 2 weeks for 3 levels: ages 6 through adult dance students and beginners; professional dancers; and dance teachers. In a reverse trend, Moscow Ballet brings Russian soloist Svetlana Todinova to the U.S. to teach the Vaganova method to professional and pre-professional students. Todinova will give classes in technique, character and variations from the classics. Other teachers include Damien Martinez from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre; Pittsburgh's newest Hip Hop choreographer Gregg McCummings, Penn State University's Holly Gombina teaching Musical Theatre, Acrobatic classes and other great guest artists tba. There's a Dancer's Dream come true! Spend a week of intensive training with Moscow Ballet soloist ~ Inland Valley Conservatory, Temecula-Murrieta
Moscow Ballet and Inland Valley Conservatory (IVCCA) announce Summer Intensive training program in Murrieta, CA from July 11 to July 15. Calling all southern California pre-professional dancers for the opportunity of a lifetime! Moscow Ballet brings Russian soloist Svetlana Todinova to Murrieta to teach the Vaganova method to pre-professional students. Todinova will teach daily classes in technique and variations from classic ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty at the state-of-the-art facility. Classes are accompanied by IVCCA's Veronika Huggins, a Kirov trained musician and pianist.
The Intensive culminates in a gala performance Friday night July 15 at the 750-seat Murrieta Mesa Theater. The Moscow Ballet Summer Intensive program offers young American dancers, who otherwise have limited access to the classical Russian style, a unique opportunity to work closely with a professional Russian ballerina. The Intensive is presented in collaboration with the City of Murrieta and Murrieta School District. Sign up for one class daily $325 or two classes daily $600 for the week.
