Ballet students will have the opportunity to take pointe, partnering and technique training in a program developed and directed by Moscow Ballet’s Ballet Master Andre Litvinov. This is a unique chance for young ballet dancers to work in depth with soloists from Russia right in their own studios! The Moscow Ballet teachers share the lessons and techniques they have mastered from the grand tradition of Russian ballet.
The 2011 Summer Intensive includes one classically trained Moscow Ballet soloist who teaches 2 two-hour classes per day for five days to upper level and pre-professional ballet dancers. Class options include technique, partnering, pointe, historic dance, character dance, and variations from classic ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle or Sleeping Beauty.
Moscow Ballet brings the teacher to each city and the dance studios tailor the week-long sessions to best suit their students. Intensives can include morning classes for one level of students and afternoon classes for another level, a recital from the classic repertory at the week’s end, and/or nutrition and other special classes, too.
The 2011 Intensives will be in U.S. cities from July through August. For more information, e-mail JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING or call 800-320-1733 x21.
