Moscow Ballet – all 80 dancers from the Great Russian Nutcracker East and West Coast tours meet up again for their return flight back to Russia after 100 performances and 60 days on the road. The 70 city tour across the US and Canada met with critical success, from NY Times chief dance critic Alastair Macaulay to San Francisco’s Stark Insider magazine to Cleveland’s Plain Dealer, and financial success with box office sell-outs. NY Times’ Alastair Macaulay says, “The Russian ballet style is elegant, expansive”; “Even members of the Moscow Ballet’s corps had impeccably defined movement that was spellbinding to watch.” San Francisco’s Stark Insider, and “Christmas without The Nutcracker? Unimaginable. Christmas with the Moscow Ballet? Sublime.” says the Sioux City Journal. Spectacular scenic design, over 200 ornate and hand-made costumes, and the exquisite artistry of top Russian artists make the Great Russian Nutcracker an American holiday tradition not to be missed. www.nutcracker.com
