Principal Ballerina Alisa Voronova premiered with Moscow Ballet in 2014 in the lead roles of Masha in the Great Russian Nutcracker and as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Voronova was accepted to and graduated from the famous Kiev State School of Choreography which has also produced ballet superstar Svetlana Zakharova, now soloist with the Bolshoi Ballet, and many more. Voronova received a diploma from the International Ballet Competition “Youth in the Ballet” in Kiev 3 years prior to graduating from ballet school and was participant of the International Ballet Festival “World Ballet Stars” in the Grand Pas contest in Donetsk, Ukraine. Shortly after graduation from Kiev State School of Choreography, she was invited to become soloist of Ukraine’s historic Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and has also performed for Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre for Children and Youth, quickly being promoted to the rank of soloist. Voronova’s repertoire includes principal roles in the greatest classical ballets including Masha in The Nutcracker; Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty; Juliet in Romeo and Juliet; Cinderella in Cinderella; 7th Valse, Prelude, and 11th Valse in Les Sylphides; Snow White in Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and more. In addition to full length ballets she enjoys performing her concert repertoire with classical and contemporary choreography. Voronova performs internationally in Great Britain, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Swiss, Portugal, Spain, Canada and the US.
