Russian Cultural-Ballet Project

Moscow Ballet's Russian Cultural-Ballet Project is an in-depth look at Russian culture for children. Performed by Moscow Ballet's Russian soloist, the project features a sample performance of highlights from classical ballets and small lecture on Russian heritage and customs. Children will also have an opportunity to learn steps from the Russian character dance as peformed in the Great Russian Nutcracker and participate in puppetry and coloring workshops.

Developed by Moscow Ballet's Co-Producer, Mary Talmi, this program is an extension of Moscow Ballet's "Celebrating Children...The Arts Can Make A Difference" campaign. In 2005, the project was featured at Springfield Museums, Children Museum of Eau Claire, Betty Brinn Museum, Shaker Museum, Lincoln Children's Museum, The Nash Arts Center, and Explore & More...A Children's Museum.

Moscow Ballet featured its Russian-Cultural Ballet Project at
the Springfield Museums (Springfield, MA) on August 21st, 2006 from 10:00am - 4:00 pm.
