| 2010 marked the innaugeral year of Moscow Ballet's Fine Art Gallery. Top artists from the St. Petersburg Academy of Art were asked to create works based on the theme of ballet. Some of the paintings represent spcifically Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker, or Swan Lake, while others are more ambiguous, striving to communicate the essence and soul of ballet through a visual medium.
